2. How to Change the Code

Important: Be careful when changing the code, or the new keycode may not work.

3. Measure Your Backset Before Ordering
Backset options: 1-1/8", 31/32", 1-1/2". Ordering the wrong backset means the lock will not fit. Please measure carefully:

Tip: If you cannot determine whether the backset is 31/32" or 1-1/8", choose 31/32" directly.
4. Compatibility Notes
Adams Rite footprint: All mortise, bolt, bore, faceplate, screw hole, strike, backset, and indicator dimensions match the Adams Rite standard.

Double doors with flush bolt: If your double door has a hole in the floor, the other side may use a flush bolt mortise, which is harder to replace. Install a barrel bolt latch on the inside of the other door instead.

Interior knob vs. thumb turn: Choose according to whether your door frame has a rod.

Indicator: Reinstall the indicator after the lock is installed.

5. Troubleshooting
Bolt does not open or close fully: Check the space between the travel pin and the door metal. You may need to cut more metal out so the travel pin can travel completely.

6. Security Design
EASILOK includes an anti-bypass structure for added security.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I determine the backset for an Adams Rite lock?
Measure from the center of the cylinder hole to the door edge. EASILOK SK1850 comes in 31/32", 1-1/8" (most common, ~80%), and 1-1/2" — the same three backsets as Adams Rite MS1850S. Not sure? TEXT US a straight-on photo and we'll confirm before you order.
I fired an employee who had keys and the cost of replacing those good locks was prohibitively expensive. What should I do?
Don't replace the lock — replace the code. EASILOK SK1850 lets you change the entry code yourself. No locksmith visit, no $150-300 rekey fee. The old code stops working instantly.
Can you rekey an Adams Rite lock?
Yes, but a locksmith charges $150-300 per door. EASILOK SK1850 eliminates rekeying entirely — it's keyless, so there's nothing to rekey. Just change the code.
Is it cheaper to rekey or replace my existing locks?
Rekeying costs $150-300 per visit. EASILOK SK1850 costs less than two rekey visits and no rekey fee — just change the code yourself.
Does the keypad deadbolt need batteries or wiring?
EASILOK SK1850 needs neither. It's 100% mechanical — no batteries to die, no wires to run. Users call this out as the top reliability highlight: no batteries, no wires, stable.
Can it go into an existing deadbolt hole without redrilling the door?
Yes. EASILOK SK1850 is drill-free — it drops into your existing Adams Rite MS1850S footprint and installs in minutes. No drilling, no door modification.
