This safe works fine, although I’ve never had to test it in a fire. Storage capacity is very good for jewelry, a gun, money , passports, checks and some important papers. I’ve purchased a perfectly fiting 3 drawer plexiglass insert from the Container store that is super useful to organize items. In addition there is a built in drawer. I found it meets my needs perfectly. A numeric keypad is a must. I’ve had the rotary dial safes in the past and will never “go back”.
